Not everyone enjoys the standard candy and flowers that are a staple of this upcoming holiday. To be honest, I could take it or leave it entirely. But, for those who want to give a gift that says “I love you” while keeping the creepy theme alive – here are some Valentine’s Day gift ideas to consider.
Chocolate in a Coffin. If candy is desired, just up the creep factor by giving it in a casket! Death Wish Coffin Chocolate is a pretty safe bet you will be gifting something they will appreciate: in both looks and the fact it’s chocolate…who doesn’t love that?

Personally, I love macabre home decor. My favorite Halloween decorations are those that look like they belong in my home all year: and a lot of them stay put. I really like the look of this RedwoodStoneworks skull planter. It fits my standards of “spooky but sophisticated.” I’d prefer a glossy finish if I had to choose, but I think this would be a great pick regardless.

Buying cards can be awkward; I am not good at picking out greeting cards. I usually just don’t give them. However, I have been a recipient of several Love Pop cards in the past; they are amazing. Almost a gift in themselves, they are a really neat idea for a card. They have a good selection of Halloween and creepy themed cards that would work for any holiday because there isn’t any writing in them.

Who doesn’t love oddity Valentine’s Day gifts? Give them your heart……or at least a picture of one on a set of heart coasters. Personally, I lack the discipline to remember to put my drinks on coasters – but I like the art work! I still have my set of Blood Slide coasters from Dexter….and I doubt I will ever take them out.

When I do give gifts – I like them to be functional. I am not into collecting more things I have to dust. But I think this list sets a pretty good example of some neat spooky gift ideas for Valentine’s day, especially if you’re not the one in the relationship that enjoys the unusual stuff. You will be appreciated for making the effort.
What was your favorite spooky Valentine’s gift that you gave/received?
